DSM – Demand Side Management

DSM – Demand Side Management

DSM is a proactive approach for planning, implementation, and monitoring the energy consumption during peak hours. It mainly relies on present generation with demand by controlling consumption at user side.

DSM is a novel electricity demand control technique using real-time pricing is proposed. Currently users have no means to change their power consumption to benefit the whole system. The proposed method consists of modern system identification and control that would enable user side load control. This would potentially balance demand side with supply side more effectively and would also reduce peak demand and make the whole system more efficient.

AMS - Asset Management System

AMS – Asset Management System

Asset Management System (AMS) is one of the key issues in the Smart Grid context. Ageing assets and uncertainty in load demand profile and demand management create a challenge for the optimal operation and maintenance of electrical grids. The proper asset management reduces the risk of equipment failure, extends the equipment life, and minimizes the occurrence of unplanned outages. AMS refers to any system where the things that are of value to an entity are maintained and monitored. AMS is the systematic process of maintaining, operating, and upgrading assets with minimum possible cost. Enterprise AM (EAM) is the business processes and enabling information systems that support management of an organization's assets.

EMS – Energy Management System

EMS – Energy Management System

Eficaa EMS - Energy Management System works with data enabled intelligent inputs capable of taking effective decisions on how to utilize energy to the customer’s advantage. User can consume energy when the price is low, sell it when the price is high, optimize energy and hydrogen storage. Eficaa offers a comprehensive, scalable solution – ranging from field-level energy data aggregation to grid-wide energy analysis at the management level.

OMS – Outage Management System

OMS – Outage Management System

An OMS-Outage Management System, typically includes functions such as trouble-call handling, outage analysis and prediction, crew management and reliability reporting. OMS is a mission-critical system. At some utilities, hundreds of users can use it simultaneously. It integrates information about customers, system status and resources such as crews, providing a platform for operational decision support.

It provides means for faster fault identification and assist in reducing interruption duration, leading to improved reliability performance. More efficient assignment and tracking of field personnel leads to reduced operating costs. Customer satisfaction increases through reduced outage times and the capability to give customers better information about outages, such as causes, extent and restoration time estimates.

OMS also improve internal and external reliability reporting and leads to improved coordination of planned and unplanned work.

PQMS – Power Quality Management System

PQMS – Power Quality Management System

Power Quality Management System (PQMS) is a platform and interfaces to collect, tabulate, analysis and display data to various stakeholders. Power management systems help ensure the safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant operation of electrical distribution systems, including the assets connected to it.

  • Avoid electrical fires and prevent shock
  • Recover from outages more quickly and safely
  • Improve uptime by avoiding unplanned outages
  • Find ways to reduce energy costs
  • Optimize maintenance and get more life from electrical assets

Simplify the process of acquiring and maintaining compliance to standards, regulations, and legislation for things such as energy management, carbon emissions, and power quality

Any facility that depends on their electrical distribution infrastructure to deliver high quality power at all times to keep their operations running. And, in fact, any business that wants to remain competitive and operationally efficient.

PLMS – Power Load Management System

PLMS – Power Load Management System

At the peak time discoms can cut the power only for power load and provide supply to light loads. By doing this discoms can avoid the use of inverters for domestic purposes. Inverters are having a major drawback as it consumes more power and will deliver only less power as output. Since most of the domestic consumers are having inverters, power cut is of no use. So by implementing peak load management (PMS) some solution can be provided for this problem. If in case there is an urgent requirement of power for some appliances and the consumer is willing to pay extra money at peak load time then they can get high power loads with additional cost .The consumer can login to the consumer page provided by the electricity board and agree for paying extra money at peak load time or otherwise with the additionally provided breaker in the circuit which can be manually turn on during the peak load time consumer can have this benefit but on additional charges.
